I offer person-centred counselling which focuses on the client’s exploration of their own experiences, thoughts and feelings. Person-centred counsellors provide a space for clients to talk and be empathically understood, gently challenged and supported to communicate their needs and overcoming challenges.
This humanistic modality views the therapeutic relationship between counsellor and client as an integral tool in creating an environment where the client feels respected, safe, accepted and encouraged to find and develop their own understanding and sense of self. This is a non-directive therapy that believes that the client, with appropriate support, will find their path forward.
I am currently studying Sexology which focuses on concerns or questions relating to sex, intimacy, and relationships. This can include anything from sexual difficulties or changes, to exploring identity, desire, connection and communication.
This is one of the most common concerns from people seeking support. Therapy can have a huge impact on a person and lead to changes within themselves, their lives and their relationships. People seek therapeutic support for a variety of reasons, some require only a couple of sessions while others frequent therapy on and off for several years.
Therapy in and of itself is no guarantee towards a positive change for people but often the fact that a person has sought out therapy indicates that they are ready to work towards change, healing or improvement. This motivation together with a therapist's support will often lead to constructive change and development. In therapy the counsellor will discuss with the client what brought them to therapy and what they hope to get out of it, thereafter they may explore how these goals can be achieved.
The sessions can be hugely rewarding and lead to insights and break throughs for the client. However, it also takes a lot of courage and energy to delve into difficult or traumatic experiences which can bring up a lot of pain. Ideally this will be worked through together and the client will eventually move beyond these feelings and into a place of greater sense of self, confidence and feeling at peace.
Weekly sessions are the standard when commencing therapy but can in consultation with the therapist be scheduled fortnightly or monthly. The number of sessions is up to each individual to decide what they feel that they need.
The client is free to decide to end therapy at any point and if possible the therapist recommends an ending session where the therapeutic work is discussed and reviewed.
Absolutely. People come with a wide range of issues and difficulties relating to mental health and wellbeing. Some come in with experiences of trauma, depression or anxiety and others because they feel stuck in life, lack of motivation, wanting to improve relationships or work on self-acceptance.
Yes!
As a Sexologist and Relationship Therapist in training I can offer low cost sessions to couples from October 2025 to March 2026.
Any personal details about a client or notes taken during sessions are confidential and are not shared with any third parties. This information is stored securely in compliance with GDPR regulations.
There are a few exceptions to this which would be if a client discloses a serious crime, or that a child or vulnerable adult is at risk. This is part of the therapeutic contract and any instances that would entail a breaching of confidentiality would, when possible, be discussed with the client.
The fee for a 50-minute therapy session is £70. I do offer a limited number of concessionary rates at a lower cost.
Payment can be done via direct bank transfer or paid by card via an invoice sent to you prior to the session.
Sessions can be cancelled with a full refund up to 24 hours before a session. Late cancellations or missed appointments will be charged at the full fee.
If for any reason I have to cancel an appointment, you will be informed as soon as possible and will not be charged. I will endeavour to reschedule your booking as soon as possible and refund any payments already made.
Therapy is a collaborative experience between a counsellor and their client. I will review the process with you regularly so that we can discuss your expectations and progress. The number of sessions a client wants varies, depending on factors such as what brought them to counselling in the first place. They are always free to change the frequency of sessions, take a break or discontinue.
I offer counselling in English and Swedish, primarily to UK and EU residents living in the UK, EU or abroad. If you are a resident in another country there is a possibility of working together, depending on the rules and regulations in that particular country. Please get in touch with your enquiry if you live outside the UK/EU.

I'll happily answer any questions or concerns you may have!
